Is the “Gospel” Good News to You Today? The Cross of Christ is God’s Love for you Demonstrated!

The Gospel is Good News for a Suffering Humanity

You are not a failure or mistake. The crucifixtion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is not just a story about God’s justice, but about God’s desire to redeem the human condition. You don’t have to suffer or be tormented with personal pain, addiction, shame, anxiety or whatever it is. God understands, the cross paints a picture of redemption for your deepest needs and desires.

You don’t have to be in pain! The gospel (or Good News) is that we can have freedom from ourselves (ego) based on what God has already done for us! Do you believe it? Do you want it?

“And now all who believe in him receive that gift. For there is really no difference between us, for we all have sinned and are in need of the glory of God. Yet through his powerful declaration of acquittal, God freely gives away his righteousness. His gift of love and favor now cascades over us, all because Jesus, the Anointed One, has liberated us from the guilt, punishment, and power of sin!” (Romans 3:21-24)

“Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and he now declares us flawless in his eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us. 2Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God. What incredible joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God’s glory! But that’s not all! Even in times of trouble we have a joyful confidence, knowing that our pressures will develop in us patient endurance. And patient endurance will refine our character, and proven character leads us back to hope. And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us! " (Romans 5:1-5, TPT)

The Gospel is not meant to scare you into a life of eternal suffering at all. Quite the opposite, the good news if that Jesus Christ suffering for us that we may come to the end of our own suffering through death and ressurection.

God used the most evil, violent form of punishment ordained by fallen man (the cross), to demonstrate God’s love for man by entering our world as a man to conquer death.

Are you overworked, tired? Christ is our eternal sabbath rest…Are you lonely? Christ was forsaken for you…Are you angry? Christ took on the wrath of God for you…Do you struggle with a fight or flight mentality? Behold Christ that did not retaliate, fight or defend himself in front of his enemies. He suffered innocently and trusted God. Do you find your journey to be a miserable existence, see that Christ despised the shame and with joy enduring suffering. He was humiliated for us that we may not be put to shame any longer. All of your problems, pain and suffering is due to your ego (selfish ambition). Behold Christ and His suffering, God as man on earth suffered to show His great love for humanity so that you would trust Him! Where is your pain and suffering? Rest yourself at the foot of the cross of Christ.

The Cross of Christ is God’s answer to a world of suffering. Rest your weary soul at Calvary. Die to self and let Christ live inside you.

You don’t need a recovery program, religion, you just need to understand who God is and what He already did for You through Christ to be transformed!

Struggling with sin, perfection, religion? It’s never too late. Receive God’s forgiveness and love for you, let God love you, live loved and never give up because of Christ, by grace, you are enough because He is enough for you. Struggling with poor decision making? Feeling inferior, having regrets? Jesus suffering you, so you don’t have to be so hard on yourself anymore.

By His knowledge [of what He has accomplished] the Righteous One, My Servant, shall justify the many [making them righteous—upright before God, in right standing with Him], For He shall bear [the responsibility for] their sins. (Isa 53:11, AMP)

Change your way of thinking and being about God, yourself, others and world - Because of God’s great love for man, he came as a man (the living Word) to reconcile man back to God! So, spend time with God, talk to God, think about the cross filled life in the morning, evening, whenever you are worried, afriad, struggling. Remember who God is and what He did for you! Just trust Him!

Escape this troubled world by spending time meditating and resting on the transformative non-violent-reconciling works of Christ’s life, crucifixtion, death and resurrection.

Forgive yourself, forgive others. Be reconciled. Are you ready to follow Christ?

What is the Gospel or “Good News”. It’s not good news if it doesn’t change you for the better! It’s the truth with power and authority to change your life for good! That loves you, you’re forgiven, Christ died and rose again. There is no separation from the love of God! So, let the Gospel change the way you think and act!

“Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.” (Romans 12:1-2, TPT)

How to Apply the Gospel for You Today

“We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.” (2 Cor. 10:5, TPT)

  • Relax, breathe deeply.
  • Monitor your thinking. For each painful or bad thought, confront it to the feet of the Cross of Christ. Decide to Surrender, submit to God. Resist the devil (negatively). You’ve got to be willing to let go, lay down thoughts to cross of Christ.
  • Identify the lie and challenge the lie with the truth of who Christ is (the truth). What does the Cross say about it? Start with gratefullness and go from there.

Whatever challenges you are facing today whether it’s loneliness, mental health, addiction, take it to the feet of Jesus Christ today!
